General counsel, managing partners and other legal industry leaders gathered at the 2026 FT Innovative Lawyers Asia-Pacific Awards to celebrate the region’s cutting-edge legal professionals. Among firms headquartered in Asia-Pacific, Mallesons took the top prize; for firms headquartered elsewhere, the award went to Freshfields. DBS Bank was the region’s most innovative in-house legal team.

The gathering coincided with RSGI’s expansion of its Resight India platform, which now features deep‑dive ratings of Indian lawyers across seven critical practice areas.
Held in the landmark building’s soaring central hall, the annual FTIL Europe awards celebrated the ingenuity and resourcefulness of Europe’s legal industry. Freshfields took the award for most innovative firm in Europe, while Garrigues was the most innovative firm headquartered outside the UK. National Grid took the most innovative in-house legal team award.
