Founded by RSGI Executive Director Reena SenGupta in 2006, the FT Innovative Lawyers programme is the global benchmark for legal innovation. Our team conducts thousands of interviews across the industry to assess the originality, leadership and impact of different innovations that span both the business and practice of law.
Submissions are now open for the twentieth edition of FT Innovative Lawyers Europe. We welcome entries from private practice firms and corporate legal departments across practice innovation, responsible business, people and skills, and more.
The FT Innovative Lawyers programme is the most rigorous assessment of innovation in legal services globally. Unlike directory rankings, it is based on original research — not self-reported data — conducted by the RSGI team across hundreds of firms and in-house teams each year.
The programme assesses innovation across eight categories: practice innovation, responsible business, people and skills, knowledge and data, business transformation, intrapreneurs, individual practitioners, and in-house teams. Results are published annually in the Financial Times.
